TrekEd Curriculum:
Cross-Curricular Learning
Supporting Active Lifestyles
TrekEd Tours are designed to inspire and foster an active lifestyle among students. By integrating physical literacy and personal fitness into every adventure, we create a space for students to develop in body, mind, and spirit. Our tours offer a dynamic range of activities, including kayaking, hiking, and trekking, all of which enhance physical fitness, coordination, and active living habits. By engaging students in these varied experiences, TrekEd Tours align with an Active Living curriculum, promoting a lifelong commitment to health and well-being through hands-on learning.

Take Learning Outside the Classroom
The Pacific Pathways Package and The VAN to VIC Trek offered by TrekEd have been developed in alignment with several courses in the B.C. curriculum. These tours integrate hands-on learning experiences that directly support classroom teachings, specifically tailored to complement the following courses:
-
Explorations in Social Studies 11
-
Human Geography 12
-
B.C. First Peoples 12
-
Outdoor Education 11/12
-
Active Living 11/12
Students engage with geographical and cultural studies firsthand, exploring landscapes and communities that enhance their understanding of social, environmental, and historical contexts. Through immersive activities and guided discussions, students gain practical insights and deepen their appreciation for British Columbia's diverse landscapes and cultures.
TrekEd exemplifies The PlaidPath's commitment to providing educational journeys that not only meet curriculum standards but also inspire lifelong learning and connection to the world around us.
